Review of Northshore Brasserie

Ryan and I had an amazing dinner at the Northshore Brasserie (NSB) on Saturday night. We were craving mussels and remembered that they have the best mussels in all of Knoxville – and they were as good as we remembered! We ate at NSB a few months ago and sat at the bar for dinner. The bartender we had that night last spring, Heather, was so good that in the car on the way to dinner this past Saturday, we decided that if she was working, we would definitely sit at her bar for dinner! Lucky for us, she was there and apparently is there every weekend night. Not only did she recognize our faces, but she remembered that we were newlyweds and asked about married life.

Ryan and I split the mussels (a la mariniere – with white wine and garlic broth), he had the NY steak, and I had the filet mignon. The steaks were tender and perfectly prepared.  Once dinner was finished, Heather asked if Ryan liked bourbon – ummm yes! She poured him a taste of Wild Turkey American Honey, a flavored whiskey, which he definitely enjoyed! She surprised me with a chocolate martini of sorts with ‘NSB’ written on top with chocolate sauce!

Once again, Northshore Brasserie won us over with both their food and Heather’s impeccable service!
